Virtual NIN or vNIN is a 16 alphanumeric String that is to be used for security purposes instead of NIN, The string has a 72 hours lifespan
vNIN is a tokenised string that will not be useful after 72 hours after it has been created, thus limiting the risk of exposing the party involved to a long time risk
From now onward, you need not to give any body your NIN, rather you generate vNIN for them to verify, thus you are more secure
The party will be required to generate a one time vNIN using NIMC mobile app or USSD from the registed phone, provide it as a concent to the verifier
